Swedish band Kent has released a new album called “Röd” (Listen i Spotify). I am amazed how they keep exploring and evolving their sound. The songs go from synth driven dance music to melancholic heart breaking balcony jumper guitar ballads.
Singer and song writer Jocke Berg has yet again managed to compose the most amazing lyrics. Behind all the arpeggios and effects sad words touch Swedish social mentality, the lack of expression and a will to break free from it. After listening to Röd, for a couple of days I’ve gone back and listened to Tillbaka till Samtiden (Listen in Spotify) and it is definately worth listening to again.
